Digging into the archives   Leave a comment

There is something about a gesture, when it is made unconsciously, that captures the essence of a moment or a feeling. The little boy in the photo on the left, in the striped shirt, has such a gesture. For those of us with children or who spend time around children, the posture of the smallest of the three speaks volumes of the dilemma at hand. While the two older siblings ponder the challenge with what appears to be some degree of intense troubleshooting and ingenuity, the little guy looks longingly up at the water fountain in the hopes that somehow he too can partake in its goodness.

There is so much about this diptych that I love and the story told by it. I think I’ll stop writing and let you soak it in as I have hundreds of times before, drawn from my archives.
